I have lived in Connecticut my entire life, and I am a lifelong learner. I have experienced three different types of schooling; public, Montessori, and homeschooling. Being homeschooled for my high school career has taught me that I am responsible for my education and my life. I have learned that being self-directed and enthusiastic is the key to being productive. I endeavor to take this knowledge into my college career and further throughout life.

My non-academic interests include art and I have been drawing for my entire life. It is a passion I hope to help others find. My academic interests come from a love of biology, psychology, history, and literature. All of those things combined have brought me to the career choice of nursing. I intend to major in psychology with a dual degree in nursing. The ability to help others on a personal level and being on the floor to directly make a difference appeals to me. My goal is to become an RN with a focus on psychiatric nursing.

My choice of Agnes Scott comes from a love of both humanities and science. I knew if I were not going to a liberal arts college, I would have to leave a big part of who I am behind. It is essential for me to have a well-rounded education.
